Music by The Piano Brothers

Griswold – Lois A. Langlois, 64, of Pleasant View passed away peacefully on August 5, 2017 lovingly surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
She was born April 10, 1953 in Norwich, CT daughter to the late Walter J. and Gertrude M. (Joly) Kumiega. On September 16, 1972 she was married to Paul G. Langlois, Jr.  He survives her.
After being a full time mom, Lois went on to work for Caraustar Industries for 27 years until her recent retirement.
Lois greatly enjoyed time with family, friends, her cats and dogs.  Cooking for her family brought her much joy, especially on the holidays. Her home was her sanctuary, and whether having a good conversation with loved ones, working on a project with Paul, or relaxing with a favorite TV show, she always cherished her home.
In her 51 years with Paul, Lois enjoyed everything from driving quiet backroads to dancing at midnight to music that moved her. She met everyone with a warm hug and welcoming smile. She spent Sundays rooting for the NY Giants with her son Brian. From feeding birds, to taking in cats and stockpiling cookies for visitors, Lois lived a life of inspiring, kindness and compassion that will leave a lasting legacy in all our hearts.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her two sons Brian and Paul III, her brother Thomas Kumiega, three grandchildren Alecia, Jade and Preston, two great grandchildren Hailey and Mason, and several nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind several close current and former in-laws and many special friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Charles Kumiega.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 10th 2017 from 4:00-5:30PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT with a funeral service starting at 5:30PM.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
