Barbara Ann Leclair passed peacefully on March 25, 2024 at 74 years of age. Barbara lived a full life surrounded by friends and her many collections.
Barbara was born in Putnam, CT and grew up in the town of Wauregan, CT. Barbara completed the 7th grade before marrying her late husband Lionel Leclair at the age of 17. Barbara and Lionel were married for 31 years and were blessed with one daughter, Donna (Leclair) Przybyl. She is survived by two brothers, George and William Smith, as well as two grandchildren Misty and Nathan Przybyl. Barbara had many nieces, nephews and cousins as well.
Barbara enjoyed spending her days expanding her many collections including dolls and Disney Mickey and Minnie Mouse paraphernalia. Barbara treasured her shopping trips with her home health aides who treated her like a family member. She also enjoyed spending time outside her home appreciating the world around her.
A thank you to the home health aides from Recovery resources for the gracious time spent with Barbara always being at her side helping with the necessities of daily life through all the good and the bad times. A special thank you to DJ Nall for the endless support provided to the family during the last moments of Barbara’s life.
Calling hours are March 30, 2024 from 2pm-4pm at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral home in Jewett City with a Mass service at First Baptist Church in North Stonington on April 13, 2024 with a graveside service at South Cemetery in Brooklyn, CT.
