Winona Kim (Fronheiser) Andrews

Jewett City – Winona Kim Andrews, 66, of David Avenue passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT.

She was born June 28, 1957 in Dover, NJ, to the late Charles H. Fronheiser, Sr. and Barbara (Connelly) Fronheiser. On July 7, 1990 she was married to Kevin Andrews.  He survives her.

Winona worked for many years as a cook and home health aide.  Everyone loved her cooking. 

Besides her husband she is survived by her two sons, Eric Ellefsen of North Carolina and Matthew Connelly and his wife Anne of Greene, NY; her brothers, Charles H. Fronheiser, Jr. and his wife Alexis Horvath of Sussex, NJ and William D. Fronheiser and his wife Jamie of Bergenfield, NJ; her sister Susan E. Dunn and her fiance, George "Buddy" Hyatt of Griswold, CT; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also leaves behind her beloved dog, Sandy.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert Fronheiser and niece Brittany Leigh Dunn.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00-7:00PM Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 26, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will immediately follow in the Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold, CT.
