Taftville – Dolores Jean Spaulding, 82, of North 5th Ave passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at W.W. Backus Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1937, in Hayward, WI daughter to the late Everett and Geraldine (Larson) Hole. Dolores was married to Richard Leroy Spaulding. He and two brothers Kenneth and Gary Hole predeceased her.
Dolores is survived by two brothers David and John (Sherry) Hole, 5 children: James Ellis, K. Scott Ellis, Gerri (Paul) McAvoy, Lori (Louis) MacLellan, and Tony Spaulding. 9 grandchildren: Michael McAvoy, Karin (Ross) Golden, Britt (Andrew) Kissin, Jennifer (John) Bunnell, Derrick (Elizabeth) MacLellan, Bryan MacLellan, P.J. McAvoy, Brieanne McAvoy and Emma Spaulding. 4 great granddaughters: Lyla Golden, Spencer Kissin, Arya Golden and Amelia Bunnell. Also many extended family members that meant a great deal to her.
            Dolores made many, many friends in her lifetime who loved her dearly and will be missed by them all.
            She retired from Ames Department Stores after 28 years.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the First Congregational Church of Griswold.  There are no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Celebration of Life (luncheon) to follow memorial service at Paul and Gerri McAvoy’s house at 141 Hanover Versailles Rd. Baltic, CT 06330.
