Leslie J. Caron

Leslie J. Caron, 61 of Preston, CT passed away on February 19, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family following a long courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her father, Robert A. Caron, her late mother, Jean M. Caron, her children, Elizabeth (Caron) Willcox and Zachary Smith, her grandchildren Caroline and Easton Willcox, her siblings Linda Bienstock and Lee-Ann Fonseca and her nephew and many nieces.

Leslie was an altruistic soul. She was a kind and generous person who always put others before herself. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Leslie devoted her professional life to working in the mental health field.  Outside of her professional life, Leslie always welcomed many into her home with open arms and unconditional love.  Her legacy of compassion and joy will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. 

After Leslie became ill, she was on a mission to fill her passport.  She traveled extensively in the last years of her life.  Among her favorite places she traveled to were Portugal, Spain, Israel, Paris, and Hawaii.

A beacon of love and warmth, she graced our lives with kindness and her gentle spirit. Leslie had the greatest ability to make those around her laugh.  Her humor and quick wit will be sadly missed.  Many will miss her wonderful stories as only she could tell.  May her soul find solace in eternal peace.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on February 23, 2024 at The Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.
