Gregory Francis Pavlak

Uncasville – Gregory Francis Pavlak, 66, of Old Fitch Hill Road passed away unexpectedly at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

He was born on September 1, 1957 at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT to the late Herbert Pavlak and Mary Theresa (Demute) Pavlak Giella of Griswold.

Greg graduated from grade school at St. Mary’s of Norwich and moved on to high school at Norwich Technical School graduating as a machinist. He worked for a short time in that career before he found his true passion, cars. He worked at a few car dealerships before ending at his final place of employment, Falveys of Norwich.. At Falveys, he found his purpose in the job world. Greg worked passionately there working way up from salesman to General Sales Manager. Falveys became his home away from home where he found a second family with associates he looked up to and learned from.

In his time away from work he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, traveling to Florida to vintage car auction where he sought out Corvettes, smoking cigars with his buddies at the cigar lounge, attending church on Sundays and enjoying breakfast with friends afterwards, going out to dinner with friends and family and walking his 4 miles around the Norwich Golf course and finally spending alone time in his condo.

Gone way too soon, Greg’s presence in the community will be greatly missed by both family and friends

He leaves behind his mother Mary Giella, his sister Marian Weaver and her husband Gregory, A niece Jennifer Kirchner, his aunts Marianne Pavlak and Julia Sicotte, as well as many cousins.

Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00PM Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church, Norwichtown, CT.
