Plainfield -  Ann Bourque, 88, died peacefully on February 7, 2019 in Plainfield, CT.  She was born in Jewett City on July 26, 1930, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Majka) Koziol.  She was the wife of the late Richard Bourque, Sr.  They married on June 25, 1947 and together raised four children.  
Ann is survived by her children: Linda (Gary) Gluck of Plainfield, Roann (Thomas, Sr.) MacLean of Jewett City, Richard (Christine) Bourque, Jr. of Sterling and Melissa LaBossiere of Brooklyn.  Ann is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Gary Gluck, Beth Johnson, Thomas MacLean, Jr., Zachery Lasada, Kaleigh Ligus, Nathan LaBossiere and Madison LaBossierre.  She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.  
In addition to being a wife and mother, Ann worked as a secretary for 3 years at the former Plastic Wire and Cable Corp in Jewett City.  She also worked for the Griswold Board of Ed as a devoted cafeteria employee for more than 30 years.  She delighted in chatting with students and staff each day.  She retired in 2013.
Ann was thoughtful, kind and generous to all.  She was faithful in acknowledging holidays, birthdays and illnesses of family and friends with cards, gifts and good wishes.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the staff at Colonial Health and Rehab in Plainfield, CT for the devoted and loving care given to Ann over the past three years.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Church, Jewett City, CT on February 16, 2019 at 10:00AM to be followed by a burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Lisbon, CT.  There will be no calling hours.  The Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT has been entrusted with arrangements.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
