Griswold – Kenneth A. Gibson, 68, of Griswold, passed away peacefully Friday Feb. 23, 2018.
Kenneth was born in Norwich, CT, on Sept. 14, 1949, a son to the late Alma (Dayon) and Kenneth D. Gibson.
Kenny took great pride in his work for the State of CT –Department of Motor Vehicles serving as an Inspector.  He retired after 33 years.  During his retirement he devoted his time establishing a race team –Gibson Bellisle Motorsports.  He was proud of the number 50, and driver Louie “The Smile” Bellisle.  Kenny was an avid NASCAR fan.  His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr.  Kenny was the “Intimidator” with a heart of gold to those who knew him.  He shared his love of racing with his daughter Michele.  Kenny enjoyed fishing with his father and sharing memories with friends.  
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Michele Lee Gibson and his son-in-law Scott Lee Medbery, loving girlfriend and companion Cindy Maheu.  He also leaves behind his companions Hunter, Uncle Milton, Mickey and Joe.
Calling hours will be held on Monday Feb. 26th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road, Jewett City, CT.  There will be a private graveside service and burial at the convenience of the family.   Kenny was passionate with his love for animals.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenny’s memory can be made to aspca.org.  For online condolences or share a memory please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com.

Seeing Kenny`s name in tbe paper brought back so many great memories. He & my brother Rob were good friends & my parents were great friends with Alma & Ken. Its been so many years since i have seen him. I also never met Michele but heard so much abput her from Alma. My condolences to the family.
