William Edward Culver, Sr.

Lisbon – William Edward Culver, Sr. 64, of Lisbon passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at W.W. Backus Hospital, Norwich CT.

                He was born April 26, 1957 in Putnam, CT son to the late Alexander Peter and Mae Eloise (Phillips) Culver.  On May 15, 2021 he was married to Karen (Mara) Culver.  She survives him.

                William worked for many years, before his retirement, for the US Naval Base in Groton, CT in the public works department. Billy enjoyed all the grandkids he shared with Karen.

                Besides his wife he is survived by his son William Culver, Jr., two brothers John Culver and Alexander Culver, three sisters Nora Culver, Elois Culver and Dora Chamberlin, stephchildren Brian Carlsen, Patrick Carlsen and Heather Carlsen. 

                Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00PM Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A graveside service will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Kennedy Cemetery.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnefuneralhome.
