Wilfred Shain Viens

Wilfred Shain Viens, 66, of Ross Hill Road, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Davis Place in Danielson, CT. surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 15, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY, son to Ferdinard R. and Marie R.(Young) Viens. On March 26th, 1977, he was united in marriage to Valerie J. (Beaulieu) Viens. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Jarrod S Viens and wife Shannon Loeck, daughter Sarah M, and Mike Cusimano, granddaughter Nevaeh Cusimano. His mother Marie Viens, brothers Ray, Pierre, and Nicholas Viens, and Sister Lena Bean.

Wilfred worked for 39 years as a R&D Engineer with Gunther International. Wilfred was credited with several patents.

Wilfred was an avid lover of animals and for several years fed and documented the wildlife in his backyard. He enjoyed working on his home and watching his granddaughter grow up.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00AM, Monday January 13, 2025 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home. A reception will be held at the Jewett City VFW from noon to 2 pm.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
