Wayne Andrew Burton

Wayne Burton passed away peacefully after a short, courageous battle with leukemia. His love of life and adventurous spirit will be missed by many. 

 Wayne leaves behind his wife, Sarah Baldwin, sister, Rebecca Hale, brother Scott (Sue) Burton, sister, Susan Burton, son, Cody Burton, many family members and countless friends. He is predeceased by his parents, William P. Burton and Emily L. Bawden, and sister, Alice Burton.

 As a Ledyard High School VoAg graduate, Class of 1988, and a lifelong Preston resident, Wayne was well known in the farming community and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever he could. 

  He loved being out on his boat, taking care of his cows, traveling and spending time with his friends. His infectious smile and laugh will always be remembered.

 Calling hours will be held on Sunday, 10/26, from 2-4 PM at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home in Jewett City, CT.
