Walter Steven Wisniewski, Jr.

Walter S Wisniewski Jr, 67, son of the late Walter S. Wisniewski Sr. and Laura Wisniewski, died 12/10/23 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the Norwichtown Rehabilitation Center.

He attended schools in Preston, Ct. and was a graduate of Norwich Regional Technical School. He worked in automotive repair business.

He enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and firearm sports.  His favorite times were spent outdoors, walking in the woods, cutting firewood, hunting, fishing and gardening. His mom was his right hand for his annual canning of tomatoes he grew and purchased from local farm stands.

He is survived by his mother Laura Wisniewski of Preston, Sister Deborah Maxwell and husband David of Northfield, VT. Brother John Wisniewski of Brooklyn, Sister Ellen Allen and fiancé Vinnie of Bozrah, two sons, Steven Wisniewski and Brian Wisniewski, 2 nephews, 2 great nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We will miss you.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Preston, CT.  Interment will immediately follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich, CT.  The Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT has been entrusted with arrangements.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnefuneralhome.com
