Canterbury – Theresa A. (Pothier) Ihloff, 89, passed away on Friday evening at the Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Theresa was born in Jewett City, a daughter to the late Cecilia (Rogola) and Joseph Hlastava. She was previously married to Raymond Pothier who predeceased her in Dec. 1988. She is currently married to Charles Ihloff and has been for the past 16 years. He survives her.
Theresa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and devoted to her Catholic faith. She loved to cook and spending time with her family, hosting gatherings and dinners within her home. She also enjoyed going to play bingo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Glenn and Bruce Pothier, daughter Marilyn Donat, a sister Adele Eberl, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son James Pothier, five brothers and three sisters
A calling hour will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Tuesday Aug. 30, 2016 at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.
