Susanna C. (Barstow) Stranzenbach

Susanna C. Stranzenbach, 79, passed away on September 19, 2022 at the WW Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT.

She was born November 7, 1942 daughter to the late Marcus and Ruth (Enoc) Barstow.  She was married to her beloved husband Larry Stranzenbach for 55 years.  He survives her.

Susanna worked at the Norwich State Hospital for over 35 years.  She loved to play the organ at church for all to hear. 

Besides her husband she is survived by her sisters Harriet Pedone of Ohio, Barbara Turenne of Central Village, Grace LaRue of Central Village, Ruth Chervertte of Sterling, Sarah Belklavance of Moosup and Mary Riley of Sterling.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Beverly Setterstrom of Griswold and Cleare Rakowski of Delaware and her brother Marcus Barstow of Plainfield.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Monday, September 26, 2022 at Packerville Baptist Church, Plainfield, CT.  Interment will immediately follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold.
