Stephen J. Bendas, Jr.

Stephen J. Bendas Jr. of Middletown Road, Colchester, CT died Wednesday at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown.  Born in 1941 to Steffie and Stephen Bendas of Jewett City, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary J. Redmond,  son, John Bendas and brother Rodney W. Bendas.  He proudly served in the U. S. Navy for ten years and led a long, productive life.  He is survived by six cousins and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road, Jewett City.  Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Griswold.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
