Stephanie Miller Obituary

Stephanie Miller, 31, a beloved daughter to, Michele Miller, of Griswold; the “wife-without-the-paperwork”, to Justin Dziedzic, of Griswold; a compassionate sister to Jeremie Nix and fiance, Kiley Flynn, of Griswold; a treasured granddaughter to Lynda Miller and husband Jim Welch of Naples, FL and Ronald Miller and partner Helen Nardino of Fort Pierce, FL; a special niece to Melissa Miller of Danielson; a loving cousin to Andrew and Tyler DeLorge; and cherished friend to so many, passed away unexpectedly after a prolonged battle with asthma on Sunday, February 6th, 2022.

Stephanie was born on November 23rd, 1990.  Since her childhood, she shined with her creative and loving personality. Stephanie’s connection with her mother, Michele and brother, Jeremie was an unbreakable bond; even when the family of three was separated due to college, the support that they had for one another was built upon cherished memories, laughter, and love.  They will always remember Stephanie’s infectious smile, beautiful bright blue eyes, contagious laugh, and her compassionate, loving personality. Her presence in their lives will be forever missed.

Stephanie spent much of her time on adventures with the love of her life, Justin. Over the past ten years together they enjoyed exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping, and creating nutritious recipes that were not only truly delicious, but had impeccable presentation. Her dogs, Oliver and Lemon, were two of her greatest joys and accompanied them on their many journeys. They could often be found on Justin’s family farm, where Stephanie was cherished and adored by Justin’s mother Lori Dziedzic, brother, Evan, and Granny.  Stephanie whole heartedly loved her second mother and family.

Stephanie graduated from Griswold High School, Southern CT State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health, and from the University of Bridgeport with a Master’s of Science in Nutrition. Throughout her college pursuits, Stephanie fostered beautiful, lifelong friendships that she has maintained well into her professional career. For Stephanie, childhood friendships became timeless treasures that became a sisterhood.

Stephanie led many ventures in her far too short life, yet all were rooted in both her creativity and her passion for health and wellness. She felt her purpose was to make healthy living and wellness a realistic and accessible option for all people, after recognizing the inequities that many experience. Her long-term professional plan was to support others in becoming more in tune with their mind, body, and soul. She successfully accomplished this with her gifts and knowledge of nutrition. Each of her ventures were stepping stones on her path towards this ultimate goal.

Stephanie’s warm presence was one that people felt the moment they saw her beautiful smile. Stephanie will forever be remembered as one that made a large impact in the lives of those that she crossed paths. Without realizing it on her own, others noticed Stephanie’s special spark - from acquaintances that she recently met to those she knew for many years. She cared so deeply for those around her and showed her immeasurable love through her thoughtfulness, wittiness, and tasteful sense of humor. She shared truly memorable, and more often than not, hilarious memories with her friends and family that love her so deeply.

When you think of Stephanie, celebrate the memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short. Enjoy life in the moment, live life in the fullest.
