Sandra Jean Miller

Sandra Jean Miller, 74, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born on December 18, 1951, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to William and Ruth (Walker) Miller. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, serving for many years as a Dietary Supervisor at numerous nursing homes. Her compassion, strong work ethic, and commitment to the well-being of residents made a lasting impact on everyone she worked with.

Above all else, Sandra cherished her family. She is lovingly survived by her son, Todd Kazlauskas, and her daughter-in-law, Amy Kazlauskas; her beloved grandsons, Tyler and Kaiden, who were the pride and joy of her life; her brothers, Charlie, Billy, and Chad.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Miller; her sisters, Linda and Marcia; and her brothers, Richard and Carl.

Sandra found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cooking for family and friends, bowling, playing cards, completing puzzles, and spending time outdoors feeding the squirrels and birds that visited her backyard. She especially treasured the time she spent playing baseball and basketball with her grandsons and going to all their events. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the UConn Women’s Basketball team, enjoying both watching games at home and attending them in person.

If you knew her, you knew she would do anything for anyone. She gave without expecting anything in return, always putting others before herself. She had a quiet strength, an enormous heart, and a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her kindness wasn’t something she talked about – it was simply who she was.

As her son, I was blessed to call her Mom. She taught me, by example, what compassion, generosity, and unconditional love look like. The greatest gift she gave our family was the way she loved us – with her whole heart. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories she has given us and in knowing that her love will continue to guide us every day.

Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will live on through her family and all those whose lives she enriched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Bye for now, Mom, we love you!
