Ryan Beck Obituary

Ryan T. Beck, born on October 03, 1996, passed away into eternal peace early Thursday morning, February 27, 2025, and is now in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a 2014 graduate of Griswold High School. He was placed in the top 5% in the State of Connecticut in mathematics.

He was an excellent skateboarder in his teens, and also met in person world famous skateboarder Tony Hawk, and he gave him one of his new video games at the time. Ryan was very intelligent and had excellent logic skills. He was very quiet at times and would always say, “I’ll figure it out.”

He went skydiving on his 25th birthday in New Hampshire. Ryan worked for a painting company in NY and also for 1-800-GotJunk in Worcester, MA. He attended the Three Rivers College in Norwich, CT. As a child he loved going to Florida to visit “Grammy and Pop-Pop” and enjoy the beautiful weather and swim in the pool He loved riding his motorcycle and the beaches, like his dad.

He loved to make spaghetti and enjoyed a good pizza. He loved to write meaningful poems and songs. He will be missed so much. He was a friend, as well as an incredible Son, who passed away way too soon.

I love you Ryan my Son.

He is survived by his biological father, Daniel B. Hunt, Jr. and Daniel’s girlfriend Portia LaPointe of New Britain, CT; also by his mother, Laurie Beck Pierce of Jewett City, CT. Ryan also had three brothers, Eric, Austin, and Matthew Beck.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Patricia and Daniel Hunt of North Port, FL, also known as “Grammy and Pop-Pop.” His uncle Ronald Hunt of Quaker Hill, CT and aunt Lynda Russell of Rotunda West, FL, two cousins Tricia Gadomski and Amy Ballor of Punta Gorda, FL, and Brandon Hunt of Wilmington, NC.

Ryan’s Service is March 09, 2025 at 4:30 pm and calling hours are from 5-7 at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Rd, Griswold, CT 06351

 

Ryan was a loving and loved son and brother. He could do anything he set his mind to. The world will be a much poorer place with him not in it.

He is survived by:

Father John B. Beck.

Three Brothers - Eric (Maii), Austin, and Matthew.

Grandfather George Porter

Grandmother - the late Katherine Porter

Aunt Kathy (Keith) Landry

Uncle Kurt (Claudia) Wiersch

Uncle Glenn (he was known to Ryan as Uncle Buck) - Glenn is my late younger brother)

A niece (Zoey) and nephew (Sawyer)
