Russell George Gross Jr., 68, of Old Jewett City Road, Preston, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at his residence.
He was born October 4, 1957 in Norwich, CT to Russell and Clara (Born) Gross.
Russ spent his working years in the nuclear power industry, first at United Nuclear, supporting manufacture of nuclear products for the US Navy, then as a chemist at Connecticut Yankee and Millstone power plants.
Russ loved animals and the outdoors, especially sitting around a campfire, fishing, ad kayaking.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Mary (Gross) Zanta of Chesapeake, VA.
Russ is survived by his two daughters, Emily Barber and Leila Gross of Preston.
