Roger Arthur Richard

Roger Arthur Richard, 87, went home to be with his beloved wife Sue, who predeceased him on July 16, 2022.  Roger was also predeceased in death by his father Arthur, his mother Loretta, his step-mother Agnes and his oldest son Roger.

Roger was born in Westerly, RI and lived in several Eastern CT towns before settling in Preston with his family.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Returning to the area he worked at Electric Boat and various other hands-on mechanical trades in his professional career.

In 1963 Roger and Sue bought their home in Preston to raise their family.  As a hands-on person this homestead became a life-long passion for a man who could do everything the house, land and vehicles needed.

Roger is survived by his son Scott, daughter Lori (Kevin), and grandchildren Christopher (Ashley), Sonya, Alyssa, Taylor, and Austin.

Roger also leaves behind his brothers Arthur Richard, Bruce Richard (Carolyn) and his sister Gloria Holloway (Stuart).

Roger will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
