Robert Owen Donahue

Griswold – Robert Owen Donahue died on March 28, 2021 at the Norwichtown Convalescent Home, Norwich, CT.  He was born November 21, 1926 in New London, CT to the late Daniel and Irene Donahue. He lived in Jewett City most of his life, he attended St. Mary’s School, Jewett City and attended UCONN Collage, Storrs, CT.  He married Olive Boule June 19, 1948, they had two children.  He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy.  He was a Supervisor of Environmental Bacterilogy for 40 years.  He was a member of Knights of Columbus, also was an avid Duckpin bowler with many awards.  
He was predeceased by his wife Olive Donahue who passed away October, 2020.  He is survived by his daughter Catherine Hill (husband Ed) of North Stonington, his son James Donahue, his grandchildren Jermey and Seth Donahue all of Jewett City.
A graveside service will be held 10:00AM Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold, CT with full military honors.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
