Richard J. Eighme

Richard J. Eighme, June 29, 1957 - September 28, 2022 GRISWOLD - Richard Eighme, 65, of Griswold, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022, after a long battle with chronic myeloid leukemia and a short battle with mesothelioma.

Rich was born in Norwich, Connecticut on June 29, 1957, the son of the late Lewis "Lew" Eighme and Janis "Jonia" (Lesneski) Eighme. Survivors include his son, Richard B. Eighme and his wife Katelyn, and daughter, Heather Eighme, both of Griswold; brothers, Darrel Greg Eighme and his wife Mary of Milwaukee, WI. and Larry Eighme of Griswold; sisters, Dr. Wendy Daly of Louisville, KY. and Duke (Donna) Arndt and her husband Duane of Jewett City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandpets. Rich was a man of all trades including but not limited to welding, plumbing, mechanics, and managing. Rich was caring and known for his light hearted personality. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, adopt a cat or donate in his memory to Kitty Harbor Inc. or Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America.
