Philip Louis Eccleston, 82 of Voluntown passed away Saturday 12/20/25 at the Backus Hospital in Norwich CT. He was born at the Backus Hospital December 23, 1942 Son to the late Louis & Florence (Robarge) Eccleston.
Philip was the proud owner of Eccleston Excavation & Landscaping and was appreciated for his dedication to the job well done. He was also a life member of the Voluntown Fire Dept joining the Dept in the early 1970s dedicating his services to the town & community he loved so much.
He was predeceased by his Daughter Laurie Eccleston of Voluntown.
He is survived by his wife Joan ( Butova) Eccleston, His Daughter Kristine Desjardins of Voluntown, Step Daughter Heather Powers, Sister Elizabeth Rice, Sister Susan Morris
Grandsons Garrett Desjardins, Daniel Desjardins, Benjamin Desjardins & His Beautiful Great-Granddaughters Mila & Violet Desjardins all of Plainfield CT. Also, many special nieces & nephews & his favorite Cat Pretty.
Calling hours will be held January 3rd ,2026 10am to 12pm at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home, Jewett City, CT.
