Patricia Louise (Hapgood) Martell

Griswold – Patricia Louise Martell (Hapgood), 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022.  She was born on July 25, 1943 in Wolfboro, NH to Calvin Hapgood and Eris Hapgood (Perry). She was the loving wife to Donald Martell for 50 years.  She was the devoted and caring mother to Donald Silva, Calvin Silva, Dwayne Silva, Steffany Willert, and Corey Martell.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, Joshua Silva, Autumn Silva, Devon Bauer, Sara Silva, and Jordon Martell, as well as her great-grandchildren, Winter and Jade, due April 10. She is survived by her siblings Diane Pope, Joanne Chan, and James Hapgood.  She was predeceased by her brother Donald Hapgood.

She took great pride working as a Certified Nurses Aide for many years, and enjoyed working as a Sales Associate at Walmart during her later years. She loved reading, watching her hummingbirds, knitting, and crocheting.  It gave her great joy making afghans and sweaters for the many babies born to the Martell and Hapgood families.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 8 from 5:00-7:00 PM, with a memorial service on Wednesday, February 9 at 11:00 AM at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home in Griswold, followed by a graveside interment at Pachaug Cemetery.
