Nancy Ann (Krodel) Rhodes

Nancy Ann (Krodel) Rhodes, 69, passed away surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness on Monday, October 30, 2023.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed her family.  She was born on November 28, 1953 in Norwich, CT, the daughter of the late Edward H. Krodel & Laura (Minta) Krodel.

Nancy attended school locally and graduated from Norwich Free Academy, class of 1972.  Nancy spent several years in Norman, OK when her girls were young, but spend most of her life in Griswold and Norwich.  Nancy spent the majority of her working career at Foxwoods Casino as a Poker Dealer.  Her grandchildren brought her great joy and she loved to spend time with them.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Tina Rhodes and Michelle Rhodes of Norwich, her grandchildren, Victorious Felder and his partner Jessica Chipelesa of Warren, RI, Olivia Gilliard and Briaja Gilliard of Norwich, her sisters, Laureen (David) Gosselin of Mansfield and Andrea Krodel of Colchester, and brother Edward J. Krodel, III of Griswold.  She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Williams.

There will be a graveside funeral service on Monday, November 6 at 11:00 AM within the Pachaug Cemetery Rt 138 Griswold, CT.  There are no calling hours.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home.
