Lynne M. (Adamski) Picco, 77, of Voluntown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Backus Hospital.
She was born on October 10, 1948, in Flushing, New York, the daughter of the late Frank E. Adamski and Emma Marie (Golde) Adamski. Lynne married the love of her life, John Picco Jr, on November 3, 1966, in Brentwood, New York. He predeceased her.
She is survived by her son, John Picco III, and her three grandchildren, Cameron, Owen, and Jacob, whom she absolutely adored. Her sister Susan and husband Keith, her sister Alice and husband Bernie. She also leaves her beloved nephews Joe Picco and his wife Monica, Michael Picco and his wife Michelle, Matthew Picco and his wife Lenae, and her dear niece Christiana Maher. Lynne also leaves behind numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved immensely.
Lynne was a devoted member of the Jewett City Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies’ Aid for the Missionary Society, and she previously served as a Sunday School teacher.
She was employed by Cardiology Associates, where she worked for many years before retiring in June of 2010.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
