Joan Beverly (Croft) Richmond

On the road again… Joan Beverly Richmond (Croft) completed her final journey on May 22, 2024. She spent her final days surrounded by family and the nurses that loved her like family at Villa Maria in Plainfield, CT. Joan was always a spitfire and had a sense humor to boot; you couldn’t know her and not love her. She had a passion for ceramics, painting, cross-stitch and playing cards with adult coloring books becoming her favorite in her final years.
    Joan was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 4, 1933 to John Arthur Croft and Jennie Doris Robinson. She led an amazing life; worked at Speidel’s for 10 years and Kaman Aerospace for over 40 years. She loved to travel, whether it was taking the grandkids to climb Mount Washington, see the bikes at Laconia Motorcycle weekend, going to Disney World or even just to visit family, she was always on the go. She loved everyone with her whole heart, she was a friend to all and like a mom or grandma to so many. Her grandkids and great grandsons were her pride and joy.
    Joan was predeceased by her son John “Paul” Croft in 1997 and her daughter Susan Kim Belisle in 2013 and her son-in-law William VP Sears Jr in 2003. She is survived by her brother Robert Croft and his wife Edna, her son Steven Richmond and his wife Judy, her son Michael Noon,  her son-in-law John Belisle, her grandchildren William VP Sears III, Kimberly Couture, and Amanda Richmond, as well as her great grandsons Brian Couture Jr and Tristan Couture.

Calling hours will be held on Friday May 31, 2024 from 5 to 7pm at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.
