In Loving Memory of Joan Elizabeth Carvalho (Rolley)
Joan Elizabeth Carvalho (Rolley), born on September 27, 1956, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. She gained her wings and is now reunited in Heaven with her father, mother, beloved family members, and dear friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Charles Carvalho; her three children, Nicholas George Trabakoulos, Delphine Bessie Trabakoulos, and Monica Lynn Watkins (son-in-law Stephen J. Watkins III); her two cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne Lynn Trabakoulos (spouse Charles) and Louis Anthony Estrada Jr. (spouse Trinity Estrada); and her three beautiful great-granddaughters, Delaney, Lilith, and Marceline.
Joan was, as many of us would say, the pillar and the glue of our family. There is no single word that could ever fully describe how extraordinary she was. She was beautiful inside and out — a woman whose heart and soul overflowed with life, knowledge, wisdom, compassion, and a love that radiated to everyone she met.
Joan never met a stranger. She had a magnetic presence; when she walked into a room, you were drawn to her without even knowing why. And once you knew her, you could never imagine your life without her conversations, her laughter, her guidance, and her fierce love. She was a force to be reckoned with and never hesitated to speak the truth, no matter the situation. She led with intuition and heart, teaching her family and friends countless life lessons that we will carry with us forever.
Her love knew no bounds. She often reminded us that tomorrow is never promised, so we must make the most of today — cherish the memories, hold tight to the good times, and love deeply. Those memories are the treasures we carry forward, and the very best of them will always be her.
This is not goodbye — it is simply “see you later.”
May you rest peacefully with the angels, gorgeous. We love you always.
