Jeff Waters of Colchester was born November 27, 1943 in Selma, Alabama. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, Ma. He was also a graduate of Charter Oak College of CT. Mr. Waters worked for many years at Northeast Utilities; his highest position was Chemistry Manager of Millstone Station. He was a proud Navy Veteran of seven years, during that time he served and qualified on Nuclear Submarines. Mr. Waters is survived by his loving wife and partner Linda (Wiegersma) Waters, his sons Dan A. Waters and his wife Kim of Jewett City, Mark A. Waters and his partner Ruby York of Preston, his stepson William H. Allyn and his wife Sonya of Nashville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kayleigh, Cormac, Devon, Conrad and Marissa. In addition, he is survived by his deceased brother Dana’s wife Susan. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Since Mr. Waters retired he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He really enjoyed travelling the world with his wife Linda. He was an avid roller coaster enthusiast and had ridden over 1500 different ones. Mr. Waters was predeceased by his mother Marjorie (Cormier) Waters, his father Allan Waters, his first wife and mother of his children Elaine (Pepin) Waters, his brother Allan Waters and his wife Elizabeth of Scotland, and his brother Dana Waters.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home, Jewett City, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church, Jewett City. Burial, with military honors will immediately follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich, CT.
