Jeanne Marie Kramer

Norwich - Jeanne Marie Kramer, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

She was born July 27, 1960, in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late Raymond and Antoinette (Souza) Kramer. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Edward, Raymond, Kelly, and Sheila Kramer. She is survived by her partner, Raymond E. Parkhurst; her children Gregory, Jessica, and Casey Bessette; and her sister, Vickie Murray.

Jeanne moved to Connecticut with her late former husband, Normand Bessette, where they raised their three children. Jeanne worked as a server throughout the years, namely at Bee Bee Dairy and The Shack. Jeanne was a free-spirited, sociable, fiery woman with a big laugh and a big heart. Her quick wit and convivial nature made her the life of any party, and she amassed a large number of friends and regular customers over the years. When she wasn’t cracking people up, Jeanne enjoyed quieter hobbies like reading, gardening, and crocheting. She also lent her time and talent baking for events for the Knights of Columbus. She liked to keep busy, but also enjoyed getting away, taking regular trips to places like Maine and Hampton Beach with her partner, Ray.  Jeanne will be sorely missed by many.

A private burial will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold, CT.  Calling hours will be held 10:00AM-12:00PM, Saturday June 27, 2026 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home.  A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus in Taftville, CT.
