Jeanne A. Gookin, 87, of Griswold, CT, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late Clyde L. Gookin for 31 years. Born in Griswold on November 25, 1937, she was the daughter of Joseph and Yvonne Guimond. Jeanne is survived by her brother, Laurent E. Guimond and his wife Helen of Lapine, Alabama. She was predeceased by her sister, Yvonne Guimond and brother Joseph Guimond.

Jeanne attended and graduated from Griswold High School, where she received numerous awards for her exceptional typing skills. She spent many joyful hours attending various sporting events, concerts, and the graduations of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeanne also loved reading a variety of books and novels. She was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, always cheering for her favorite teams. Most of all, she cherished her entire family and took great joy in hosting and celebrating birthdays, holidays, and special family gatherings. Nothing brought her more joy than bringing her family together.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children: JoAnn Ouellet of Norwich, Kathy Sabrowski and husband Fred of Griswold, Edward Gookin and wife Lisa of Canterbury, and Jeffery Gookin and wife Susan of Griswold.
