Jared (Jerry) Ingraham, 80, of Voluntown, passed away on July 4, 2025, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 23, 1945, in Sterling, son to Charles E. and Victoria (Dusseault) Ingraham, who predeceased him.
He was a graduate of Norwich Technical School automotive department and retired from United Parcel Service as a diesel mechanic. He served in the Connecticut National Guard between 1965 and1971, being honorably discharged as motor pool sergeant.
He loved socializing, tinkering, puttering, traveling, collecting hats and dates with his wife at Hank’s.
Jared was also predeceased by his brother Charles and sister-in-law Yvette (Deschenes) Ingraham; and his sister Alice and brother-in-law Robert Morin. His younger brother, John (Jane) Ingraham survives him along with 19 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Jerry is already sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Diana (Langlois), his daughters Tara Ingraham and Victoria/Vicki (Clifford) Schwery, and grandchildren Jared (Chrissie) and Jenna Schwery, to whom he was a #1 Papa.
Calling hours will be Thursday July 10, 2025, from 5-7PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. A Graveside service will be Friday July 11, 2025, at 11AM, in Robbins Cemetery, Voluntown with Military Honors.
