Janice W. (Vormbrock) Schultz

On Wednesday, May 31st 2023, Janice W. Schultz passed away peacefully at the age of 74. Janice was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 4, 1949 the daughter of the late Thomas W. Vormbrock and Catherine (Scully) Vormbrock. She was a paraprofessional at Lisbon Central School for over thirty years. She retired in 2017. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Janice was married for 27 years to Gerard (Jerry) Desrosier who died on July 25, 1995. She married Carl R. Schultz on April 18, 1998. They enjoyed 21 years together before his passing on December 1, 2019. She is predeceased by her sisters Mary and Margaret. She is survived by her twin sister Janet (Bill) Wrobel and sister Judy (Ernest) Desrosier, children Michele (Robert) LaSaracina, Karen (Thomas) Bennett, Christine (Peter) Cardoza, Carl R. Schultz Jr., six grandsons, Brendan (Sara), Tom, Joseph, Robert, Alex, Andrew, three granddaughters, Jaclyn, Rachel, Cassidy, and two great grandchildren Charlotte and Alexander; as well as, several nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Baltic, meeting directly at the church.  A private family burial will occur at a later date.
