James "Jim" Cameron Bell

Preston – James Cameron Bell, 79, of Preston passed away July 3, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. Jim was born December 5, 1942 in Norwich to John H.R. and Isabel (Henault) Bell, who predeceased him. He graduated from Marianapolis Preparatory School and attended Georgetown University.

Jim was active in Preston civic activities serving as vice chair of the Preston Redevelopment Agency and the Public Safety Committee.

Jim is survived by his wife Patricia Rotella Bell, his nephew, Gianni Rotella, his sister-in-law Catherine Rotella, his standard poodle Lucca and his many friends and colleagues. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Peter Rotella.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Preston on July 14, 2022 at 11 AM.

Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or the ASPCA.
