James Ibbison, III

James Ibbison III, 67 of Preston City  Road, passed away May 28th, 2016 at his home. James was born on May 2nd, 1949 in Norwich CT to James Ibbison, Jr. and Blanche (Cotnoir) Ibbison. James graduated from NFA. He was in active service for the Local 777 Steamfitters Union for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Marsh) Ibbison,  Four children; Melissa Ibbison, James Ibbison IV, and wife Rachel, Sarah (Ibbison) Renzoni and husband Jared, and Thomas Ibbison. Stepchildren; Ryan Hargraves and Alyssa Neckorchuk and husband Steven. Grandchildren; Kensie Ibbison, Isaiah Renzoni, and James Ibbison V. Mother; Blanche Fraser. Stepmother; Rachel Ibbison. Siblings; Janice Ibbison and Sandi Patti and her husband Anthony. James was predeceased by his grandsons Hunter and Chance Ibbison. And his father James Ibbison Jr.
James was active in union politics. He was a man of many talents ranging from surfing, salt water fishing, to crossword puzzles. His true love was baseball and the Red Sox. He had a love for the game and cherished it through coaching.  We love you every single day Jim, dad, coach Ibby.
Calling hours for James will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd Jewett City, CT. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3rd, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Voluntown Baptist Church in Voluntown.  Burial will follow at Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold.  A reception for friends and family will follow the burial at Jacques Cartier Club in Jewett City.
