Jacob Ryan Burski

Jacob Ryan Burski, born to Chad M. Burski and Brandy Lynn (Stebbins) Wolosko on 3/28/1995 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT, sadly passed away on 10/22/2021 in his apartment in Wauregan, CT with his girlfriend, Shoshanna Raine Gass, by his side.


It is not clear how this beautifully sweet, handsome, caring, old fashioned in his ways, sensitive, sentimental, kind, funny, quirky, Anime loving, Pokémon catching guy passed but what we do know is the world is less brighter without Jacob in it.


Jacob was many amazing and wonderful things but what was at the core of his heart was love and family. His family meant the world to him, and that family wasn’t just his blood- it was the people in his life that knew him, cared for him, showed up for him, and loved him.


Jacob’s heart was just so big and sensitive to all the broken wounded people and things In the world, probably because he himself had endured so much pain and disappointment but it taught Jacob what was important about being a human being and it made him a healer, a giver of love and hope, and a friend to all. It taught Jacob the importance of letting others know how you feel about them and he let his love be known for you every time he saw you. He made sure he let his family know how much he loved them. He would save wounded plants that reminded him of friends lost, he would do random acts of kindness no one knew about, just to show his love and sentiment. Truly a sweet heart of gold.


Jacob leaves behind not only his parents but his daughter, Emma Burski, whom Jacob worked so hard for everyday, and loved more than she will ever be able to know. Jacob has 4 sisters, Brianna and Brookelyn Gilkenson, Piper B Burski,and Charlotte Wolosko, 2 brothers, Kaelub D Burski and Robert B Bertell. Stepmother, Candace B. Burski and stepsister, Madelina Szabo. Grandparents, David and Carolyn Stebbins and  Michael P. Burski and Bonita L. Squier. Uncles David Stebbins Jr and Michael P Burski Jr. Aunts, Melissa Stebbins, Kelly Prevost (godmother) and Michelle Burski. Godfather, BillyJoe Prevost.  Village of Aunties: Amy, Cathy Jo, Amanda, Kristin, Sarah, Ella, and Nicole. So many cousins, Makaela, Kyle, Matthew, Jordan, and Tyler Burski, Jeffrey, Daniel, Kyra, and Riley Reed. Bethany and Scott Hebert and Russell Grayson. The tribe growing up, Josh, Ricky, Hunter, Kyle, Tylor, Angelica, David, and Malcolm and Azeris. As well as so many great aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss Jake terribly.


Jacob tried to catch all the moments he could not only with Pokémon, but life- catch the moments and hold them close. Jacob has taught us many things, but especially to value the precious time we are given, with the very special people we are gifted with. Jacob was our very special gift. He will be so deeply missed.
