Harold Joseph Porter, Jr.

Groton - Harold Joseph Porter, Jr. sadly passed away at the age of 73, at L&M Hospital in New London, CT on April 20, 2026, after his long battle with cancer.

He was born on September 10, 1952 at the Naval Submarine Base hospital to the late Dorothy May (Donovan) Porter and Harold Joseph Porter, Sr.

Harold leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Mildred (Walter) Porter of Groton, his daughter Tammy Jean Paige and her partner Nathaniel Joseph Paige, Sr. of New London, his son Daniel Joseph Porter of Griswold, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings Robert Porter of California, George Porter and his wife Donna of Colorado, Steve Porter and his wife Anna of Ohio and Beverly Porter of Groton.

Harold worked at Aramark as a kitchen aid for over 50 years, until his early retirement.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers David Porter and Gary Porter.
