Gilbert Vertefeuille Obituary
Lisbon – Gilbert Joseph Vertefeuille died peacefully on February 16, 2016 after a very short illness.
He was born in Willimantic, son to the late Joseph and Dina Vertefeuille.
Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in Africa and the Korean conflict. He was a proud member of the VFW Post#10004 in Jewett City.
He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed life. He worked as a teamster and in retirement at Winner Ford in Lisbon as a courtesy driver.
He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Odette Marianne (Cadou) and daughters Diane Roche of Colorado and Nancy Beaudette of Massachusetts. Also remaining is a brother Henry of Willimantic, sister Aurora of Lebanon and two grandsons.
