George Arthur Nowakowski

GEORGE A. NOWAKOWSKI 2/7/41- 11/19/25 ~ passed away on November 19, 2025 of lung cancer. George was a lifelong resident of Preston City, CT. He went to school at NFA, where he loved to run cross country. George was married twice, with one son (Bob) with his first wife, Rosemary. As a young man, he worked at dairy farms in Preston, then he went to EB, where he worked for 15 years.  Later in life, George went back to farming, starting with beef cows, then rabbits, then horses, and finally back to beef (if you live in Preston, you may have seen his fat Black Angus in the fields on Watson Road).  

George was well known in the community, as he liked to ride around town and see what all his buddies were up to. Sometimes grouchy, always kind and generous, he will be missed. 

George was predeceased by his brother Ben and sister Ann Rizzuto. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his son Bob, brothers Ron and Joey, sisters, Priscilla Lee, Suzanne Lanoue, April Piela, Maria Landry, Carolyn Nowakowski and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at Preston City Cemetery on December 3, 2025 at 1pm, for all who wish to attend.
