Francis Michael Matovic

Francis M. Matovic, of Preston, Connecticut, passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Ann M. Matovic and Joseph P. Matovic; his brother, James J. Matovic; and his brother-in-law, Jerrold Dorulla.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen M. (Dorulla) Matovic; his sons, Michael and Joseph Matovic; and his sisters, Rose Daugherty, Maryanne Albaugh, and Joanne Eastlake.

Francis was best known for his many years of dedicated work at Dominion Power Plant and for founding and running Save The Kid, a charitable organization focused on helping children in need.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home in Griswold, Connecticut. A funeral service will follow on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Preston, Connecticut. Burial with military honors will immediately follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich, Connecticut.
