Francis I. Davignon, 91, of Plainfield passed away at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday Nov. 17, 2021.
Frances was born in Danielson on April 13, 1930 daughter of Edmond and Edna (Cloutier) Lambert. She married Walter A. Davignon on September 8, 1951; he predeceased her on February 13, 2013.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She loved doing craft projects, sketching and drawing but her passion was painting with oils. She was a talented artist. She was a congregant of St. Mary’s in Jewett City and St. John’s in Plainfield.
She is survived by her three children, daughter Kim Davignon of Lisbon, son Kevin Davignon and his wife Michelle of West Haven, son Kenneth Davignon and his partner Joy Neely of Jewett City. She also leaves her beloved granddaughter Alexa Davignon of West Haven. She is also survived by her brother Paul Lambert and his wife Jackie of Brooklyn, a dear cousin Malene Lambert of Fl, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers Raymond Lambert, Ronald Lambert, Fermand Lambert and two sisters Pearl Szafarz and Arline Jacobik.
We want to thank our cousins Sherry Barone, Dawn Curtin, Nylene Noe and Debra Peck for spending time with mom. She loved your visits(and the sweets!). We also want to thank the Recreation Department ladies at Colonial Health and Rehab Patty, Julie and Amy, thank you for your patience and kindness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Jewett City, CT. Burial will follow in Pachaug Cemetery in Griswold.
