Frances Zella Coughlin (White), 93 passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2025, after a 10-year battle with Dementia disease. Frances was born in 1931 in Uxbridge, MA and grew up with fourteen brothers and sisters during the Great Depression and WWII. After the war, Frances met Bill for the first time working on helicopters. It was love at first sight!
Frances’ most significant accomplishment was raising her three children and building a warm, loving home. She also worked at various mills and was a host at McDonalds. Her greatest idea was creating a “Children’s Librarian” position, which she eventually held at the Slater Library, which brought her pride and joy. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. She was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and her love and support for her family and community. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and a hero to us all. Her life is a great success story.
