Esther Palmer Obituary
Voluntown – Esther Maria (Bennett) Palmer a resident of Voluntown, CT passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hartford Connecticut Hospital on March 13, 2020 at the age of 65 years old.
Esther was born June 30, 1954 in Kitzinger, Germany. Her father Clyde Edward Bennett, stationed in Germany after the war, and mother, Margareta Magdalena (Alberth) Bennett came to America where Esther was raised in New Columbia, Pennsylvania where she attended White Deer Elementary School and Milton Senior High School.
Wife to a career military man she traveled from state to state to include a tour in the Hawaiian Islands. Although her family did not stay in one location very long Esther worked security jobs in airports and casinos. Esther retired as a Security Supervisor at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Reservation in Ledyard, CT.
She will be sadly missed by her brother David Edward Bennett, husband Duane Earl Palmer, son Christopher Edward Herrick, daughter Theresa Marie (Palmer) Berube, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
