Elisha Roode

Elisha Eden Roode died unexpectedly on October 9, 2023 at the age of 35. Lish is survived by her mother Christina Roode of Arvada, Colorado and countless friends she made over the years who will miss her dearly. She is predeceased by her father, AJ Roode, and grandfather Frank Onorato, of Griswold, Connecticut.

Elisha was born on June 4, 1988 and grew up in Griswold, CT. She held multiple jobs over the years including Ruby Tuesday, The Bridge, and The Social before landing her role at Citizens Bank in Mystic. Her supervisors, co-workers, and clients often speak of how she lit up the room and will remember her fondly.

Elisha had a passion for exploration and music. She was often found traveling across New England going on hikes and following her favorite musical artists in concert. To say she knew how to live each moment to the fullest is an understatement.

To honor her adventurous spirit, a short hike has been organized at Haley Farm State Park on November 1st at 4:30PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at The Fisherman Restaurant at Groton Long Point. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate Lish. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) in her memory.
