We are sad to announce the passing of Edward W. Main of Lisbon, CT. Losing his long and courageous battle with prostate cancer, he passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on August, 4, 2023. He is also survived by his grandchildren Zachary, Bryce and Brylee, his sister Sharon Perry of Florida and sister Dorothy Main of Melbourne Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Hollice Main.
Edward, fondly known as Eddie, was born on November 14, 1936 in Hartford, Connecticut. He worked as a union carpenter at Millstone Nuclear Power Plant until his retirement in 1998 at the age of 62. He was a life member of the Jacques Cartier Club in Jewett City, an avid golfer and fisherman and a passionate sports fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts.
His sense of humor was appreciated by most and his ability to always lend a helping hand for a friend was loved by all. Eddie will truly be missed.
