Earl Eugene Thompson

Earl E. Thompson passed away at his home October 1, 2023.  He was born November 4, 1948 to Joseph and Anna (Schramm) Thompson.

Earl was a kind, quiet, and headstrong man.  Once he set his mind to something, there was no convincing him otherwise.  He worked several jobs over the years but spent most of his life living and working on the farm baling hay, cutting wood and fixing things for people.  He was a member of the Jacques Cartier Club and the Polish Club, where he liked to go to have a few beers and get updated on the latest local news 

He is survived by his son James Thompson, daughter in law Tammy and grandson Mason.  He is also survived by his sisters Anna Marie Reiner, Betty Blocker, Mary Mingoia, Barbara Thompson as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his life partner Joan (Kitty) Pond, and brother David Thompson.

Calling hours will be held Thursday October 12, 2023 from 5 to 7PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road, Jewett City, CT  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
