Dorothy Marie (Rakuza) Cole

Dorothy Marie Cole passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home. 

She was born July 19, 1941 in Norwich, CT to the late Raymond and Rose (Hoyt) Rakuza.  She was married to Harry Cole who predeceased her in 1995.

Everyone loved my mom. 

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Dawn Coon and her husband Glen and Linda Soja, sisters Barbara Watson and her husband Sunny and Shirley Bork, brothers Roy Rakuza, Bobby Rakuza and Richard Rakuza, grandson Adam and Bryan Coon, Kyle and Jessie Botelho, granddaughter Kasey and Kelly Walls, great grandchildren Otti, Miia and Griffin Coon and Charlie and Penelope Walls

Calling hours will be held from 5:00-7:00PM, Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the funeral home.  Burial will immediately follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold CT.
