Doreen Lussier Obituary
Doreen Lussier, 84, of Bunny Road passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the W.W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT.
She was born April 13, 1936 in Wales, United Kingdom daughter to the late Harry and Gertrude Jones.
Doreen worked for a while as a secretary with Norwich Adult Education. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine’s Church in Preston where she played the organ for many funerals and masses with her dear friend Irene Urban. She loved working in her flower gardens and would be outside every chance she got to add more flowers. She enjoyed watching birds, especially the hummingbirds. Doreen also loved going to the beach.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Lussier, grandchildren Zachary Magee and Alexander Pank, her sister Lillian Thomas, two stepchildren Susan O’Neil and her husband John and Ronald Lussier and wife Mary and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Rosaire Lussier and brother Osman Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:30PM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Preston City Congregational Church, Preston CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
