Griswold – Donald passed away peacefully at his home in Griswold on December 6, 2020.
He was a loving, caring husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was born on August 18, 1935 in Plainfield, CT to his parents Ovila and Aurore Lefrancois, who predeceased him. Along with a brother Andre Lefrancois, two sisters Lucille Ladd and Gertrude Duplisea and three sons Arthur, Bob and John Baldarelli.
He is survived by his loving wife Rita of 50 years, two daughters Rose Pasteryak and her husband Carl, Ann Vargo and her husband Anthony, a daughter in law Gwendolyn Baldarelli, a sister Laure Whitemore, a brother Paul Lefrancois, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Donald loved to bird watch, go fishing and spending time on his Ham radio. He enjoyed spending time in Canada in the fall and the winter months in Florida.
The family would like to thank nurses Jennifer Donaldson and Jim Hooper from Hospice, for taking such good care of our loved one.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00AM Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Jewett City. Burial will immediately follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Griswold. There will be no calling hours.
