Dennis Alfred Zajehowski

Dennis A. Zajehowski, 82, of Griswold, CT passed away quietly at home on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Dennis was born on June 25, 1943 in Norwich, CT and raised in Griswold. He was the son of the late Theodore Zajehowski and Eileen Manseau. He is predeceased by his brother Theodore Zajehowski II and nephew Theodore Zajehowski III.

Dennis graduated from Griswold High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1961 through 1965.  He went on to complete a full 30 year career until his retirement at AT&T in New London, CT.  

He leaves behind his beloved children Kimberly Case and Dean Zajehowski as well as Kimberly’s spouse, Douglas Case. They are survived by their mother, Alison Trombly. He was an amazing and devoted single parent to his children.

We had many great adventures and trips as a family. Dennis was a huge lover of the outdoors. His favorite activities included running, cycling, kayaking and hiking. Dennis belonged to the running club The Mohegan Striders for many years. All of his children’s friends that knew him still think of him fondly.
